Funding For All
Securing grants is an important, but technically and mentally challenging process, and we know that some folks have easier access to support than others. SMC Funding Solutions began from the simple idea that everyone should have a fair shot at getting the help they need, when they need it.
Our specialty is federal grants (with the occasional challenge thrown in), and work with clients from all sectors: researchers, educators, small business owners and startups, nonprofits, and government agencies.
People Over Projects
Behind every funded proposal—every successful grant strategy—are people with the time and know-how to make their ideas shine. At SMC Funding Solutions we take time to learn the needs of every client, deploying targeted support that includes everything from identifying funding priorities, finding the right sponsors, preparing and supporting the writing process, and coaching through submission. At every step, our focus is on the people behind the proposal, answering questions and addressing roadblocks to increase confidence, knowledge, and skills.
Wild & Wonderful
Though we come from many places, we are a West Virginia-based organization focused on increasing funding and access to funding for communities throughout Appalachia. That is why we reserve a portion of our business portfolio for grant-seeking organizations based in the region, and why we offer paid internship and training programs in grant writing for Appalachians interested in taking what they learn back to their own communities, and seeing how they grow.
